The seventh-ranked Hobart College football team will face No. 4 St. Thomas University in the NCAA Division III Football Championship quarterfinals on Saturday, Dec. 1. Kickoff at O’Shaughnessy Stadium is scheduled for noon Central Time (1 p.m. Eastern).
Hobart is 12-0, a school record for wins in a season, and earned its spot in the 32-team field by winning the Liberty League championship and its automatic bid. The Statesmen are ranked in the top 25 in the nation in total defense (3rd, 222.58 yds/g), sacks allowed (4th, 0.5/g), pass defense (5th, 134.5 yds/g), rushing defense (15th, 88.08 yds/g), scoring defense (17th, 14.83 ppg), scoring offense (18th, 38.5 ppg), pass efficiency defense (19th, 101.9), and rushing offense (23rd, 245.25 yds/g).
